Try changing it from automatic to something else. (10MB full, 10mb half, 100mb......)

Oh, right.... Wireless. Well, I don't know then.
But this is what I have. It is wired only though.

AH! Another idea: try connecting the laptop via wire/ethernet cable. Maybe it'll help.

But as others have said:
The speed internet providers are marketing is in bits, while you are looking at bytes, which is bits divided by 8.

I am already using a wire, because my router is too far from my laptop ;)

I know the different between bits and bytes, but they told me, I should have a minimum of 6 megaBITS (~ 750 megaBYTES) but I just have 2-4 megaBITS and I often lose my internet connection, so I have to pull out the wire from my laptop and push it in again, after 10 sec. it is alright again...

Okay. Ur using wire. Than you are looking at the wrong network adapter. You have selected a wireless one. Try to Atheros one. It should say connected, which means you are using it. If it says anything other than connected, ur not using it.

I´ve found the "Speed & Duplex"-Window with an other way.

My results with speedtest.net:

100 Mbps Half Duplex:

Ja...

These variations could be random. Did you run each test more times to confirm that speed&duplex DOES effect your speed?
10/02/2010 19:03 TheDextrox#29

No, I haven´t, but by browsing through the net, I think Auto is the best. The other options are very slow by opening sites.
