i might not post much in the isro section(basically cause all my chars were lost due to sad event in the past)

What mod might this be? In the normal SRO section, not PSRO.

Mass mods, stop flaming about all the mods, Zathor and yo123 are a good team collectively, im not sure about theoneofgod or invicininoob who i dont see very often, obviously the Administrators like them and thats why they are still their. You apply to be a mod of SRO so u can moderate the section as a whole, if you do not post in all the sections or are not atleast a little bit active in all of them, there is no point in applying. The isro section is probably the cleanest section out of all of them. The mods may be more active in the psro section, but that is because it is less clean, and that is of course expected of such a section.

Edit: also, you arent even the most active person in the isro section, i do look their every few days, though i dont post usually. I don't see you as often as i think i would like to see a mod. I just think you should try out for guardian first/

and another thing like Haze said i see that Yo123 is very active and Zathor is a silent man :D and invicible noob is very good too theoneofgod i dunno really :p so there is no place for another mod . and i agree with spargent his opinion is very good about it ( No offence or disrespect) :D

I understand what you guys are saying but as you said, in order to be a mod you need to be active in all sections... And then you said they are not active in all sections, so that statement is contradictory. So which is it? I am active in a section in which they are not. And I help members out, not saying the mods don't too but I don't see the same activity that I give to the users with questions and issues. I am the one getting a full inbox of replies from people asking for help, and I respond whenever I get the chance.

And how exactly can you say you don't see me there as much as you'd like, I post at least 5 times a day everyday, if this isn't active then I think there is something wrong with your perception of things. I would like to know when the last time a mod posted in the Normal SRO section, please dig me up a post from about a week ago, and that will give you more reason to give me a mod position.

And as for me flaming, explain please? I don't consider me voicing my feelings on fact rather than your opinions to be flaming. I am stating truth. I am not active in the PSRO section because there ARE active mods there, on a daily basis, in the regular ISRO section, well now that's a different story. I see a few members flaming me, and using sarcasm though, if you wish I would be more than happy to quote some things said within this thread that constitute flagrant flaming.

I would really like to know how you guys don't see anything positive in my position to apply for mod, you really have no reason to say that I shouldn't get the position other than the section is clean, so please by all means keep coming up with new and bogus reasons why I shouldn't be mod.

@haitham4848

Of course you would not want me to be a mod, since I made it clear that I voiced my feelings on how the majority of Egyptians, Arabs, and Turks scam, so I can see why you would be against my position as a mod.

@sargeantgunner

If you want my opinion on why invinciblenoob and theoneofgod are both still mods, is because they contribute alot of their coding skills to the community, as well as helping out. I have nothing negative to say about them, if anything all positive.

I see this as an opportunity for the forums as well as myself, if they don't want me as a mod then it's not my loss. Things will remain the same for me. And I will of course still remain as active.

i didn't say that because of that and i just say my opinion :)

Just to clear something up regarding mod activity:

As several members and moderators themselves stated, the mods are doing their job actively everywhere. Yes, mods don't post in the iSRO section frequently but still they keep order there. Your main argument seems to be that you give support in the iSRO section (well I see your iBot topics but that's about it afaik). We appreciate it and I confirm that such behaviour is fitting for a mod but you can give support like that without having the mod status. So when people say that there are enough mods atm then I have to confirm that. The chances are low that you get appointed as long as the situation won't change concerning current mod's activity. That ofc goes out to every applicant of the SRO section.

Just wanted to clear that up.

i agree with all of you guys , but still , a mod must be active (poster) in a section , to show to members that (WE ARE HERE !!), the only mod that i saw his Posts(not many) was Invinciblenoob , that's about it .
08/29/2010 23:49 sargentgunner#25
Still, topics are closed and posts are kept in order.. Mods dont have to be your friends, they just have to do the job.

Very nice application, Huge amount of informations and very good skills.

Even if there are enough mods in this moment my vote is Yes.

closing topics and keeping threads ordered is not there only job , a mod must be active and be in contact with players.

I vote no,

this person is blunty accusing me of scamming while I haven't done anything wrong.
Also this person is a very subjective person, he wouldn't be good as a moderator.

I vote no.
Why?
Lemme quote ""if given the moderator position I will be able to devote my time to helping in the Silkroad section FULL TIME"" Why you can't devote your time to helping the Sro section by reporting posts?
As Yo123 said you don't report enough posts and that doesn't make you an active member looking to clear the forum.
Even though I'm not that active anymore, I've been browsing the forums once or twice/day but I didn't see much of your posts.
And as John Dread said I fully agree that the current moderators are doing a damn fine job keeping the sections clean.
"if they don't want me as a mod then it's not my loss" This part is totally wrong.You are acting like you are the best guy out there for that position, NOT! There are many other members that are helping the community more than you do.

My 2 cents.
Goodluck
