i suppose u mean scams there lol :)
"hauahauahauhau" :rolleyes:

Akimoto: Im sure they can see it one way or another, dont know how but they can.
I do not know what kind of scan or whatever they are using, but obviously it is working as all my miners on one comp got jailed but not my tro in tg that was on another computer.
And if they now used some kind computer-scan they would've been sued a long time ago, just as you mention.

I mean, even fchen confirmed it in some post on co forums.
Why would he lie about it?

It's splitted thoughts on this one.. but seems as they finally pulled their thumbs out of their arses and did something (even if it doesnt work 100%)

EDIT: Im not into networking etc so much, but maybe this MAC- adress could be something?

there are four lvls of computer id check (or at least that's what it says on wikipedia a while ago). the only one that i'm familiar with is the MAC address card, which means Media Access Control. It's like a id on ur wireless or LAN card that's supposely different for every card that's been manufactured (and thus every different computer would have a different id).

LOL a funny feeling that as i type this right now it actually seems is the problem (or the thing that CO server checks for botjail, however u want to call it). I mean it's reasonable for tq to check the id of how u connect to the internet to see whether if it's the same computer or not. But they probably merge it with some other computer infos (such as OS and stuff) just to make sure that u don't spoof ur computer id (the combination of MAC and such) so easy, so if u give crap to them they give u the same hard work to send the new crap lol.

So eg if u have ki1 and ki2 and k3 on the same computer, ki2's in tg, ki3's vendoring (in a seat), and ki1's botting at hawks. if some1 comes to BI and clears the whole island and ki1 starts to run around in circles and gets botjailed. Then the CO server searches for all the chars logged on on the same ip that has the same computer profiles (combination of mac and such), list them out, and checks what they're doing are legit in-game afk actions or not. So ki2 and ki3 would be safe from getting botjailed, or so it seems. But tq just doesn't get it. Just to give u some more pain in the, and promote their db marketing scam, they randomly botjails one of ur two other chars, so let's say ki2 who's in tg gets botjailed too. So yeah that's two more dbs if they're only the first time, $7 for them, which is like 50 bucks for them in chinese currency. And think about how many servers they have and prolly how many ppl gets botjailed a day (plus just buying dbs not for botjail), if 200dbs sold in a day that's like 10k chinese yuan for fchen a day, minus something for his servers, gms, stuffs and such. and I'd believe they get WAY more than 200 dbs a day, so think about that...

ok oh lol sry i got off the topic here ~~~~~

ok so basically what i said is only a theory, i have done no testing yet whatssoever, and i take no responsibility for any actions that any1 does from what i said.

ok so let's continue, i got 7 more mins before i g2g so i'll make this quick. i'll register a bunch of noob chars and have like 10 chars logged on at same time. some in tgs others in market and some just let them plvled afk. then i'll have 1 chars gets botjailed, and see the patterns of how others gets botjailed. and i'll just delete the chars after they get botjailed so it's easy to do some more testing. During the botjail process first i'll record all the packets with my original mac, find the similarities and differences (i guess i have to learn packet decrypting for CO now, too bad :( ) and then spoof the mac address and see what's the same and what's different. and i'll let u guys know what happens.

hope i just didn't ruin CO botting so that from now on TQ bans the whole ip now. If any mods suspect this will happen then pls delete my posts.

ok i g2g now i'll test later ty u all guys

tq beleives that it is catching multi client users by banning people with more than 2 client connections through 1 ip, however they arnt taking into account people having networks, so they are just banning any1 with more than 2 connections through 1 ip,

which means alot of people with large networks, such as myself with 8 computers (16 clients) setup are getting sent to bot jail -.-

Kovarcs, ur explain is available but for example like me, i used three char in same time just 2 has sent in botjail...

MAC adresses...hmmm
This could be possible, but i think the mac adress is just for the modem.
Or at least, the mac adress is on the modem.
I dont know who fchen is, i dont go on co forums.
But, on the matter of why would he lie:
To cover the truth?
That is why most lies are created.
I dont know if fchen is a moderator, or in any way affiliated with TQ, but if so then he may be trying to hide wat they are actually doing, cuz if the outside-of-co-forums found out there would be a way to get around it in a few days.
But if he isnt with TQ, then i dont know.
It seems irrashional(sp?) for them to just botjail you based on mac or watever they seem to be doing.
But, with multi-client on the subject, didnt someone say a long time back that the binary was different for multi-client, and was getting ppl banned or w/e? This might not have been true at the time, but they could be checking for something like that. But, that goes back to the illegal thing again.
:D I'm just glad I dont play CO, I can't be jailed :D
09/10/2006 21:48 yokoyoko#23
as far as from what i've read i think fchen owns tq. their boss :P ( i don't know if he actually programs or not, prolly not though. so he's not speaking probably from a technical point of view, he just tests himself , or listen to watever his programmers says and annouce it as his own msg lol)

yea MAC address is on the modem (wireless or ethernet card), but the copy of the number is also in ur ram for app access. so u can change the number to whatever u want in ur ram (OS). so if there's a way to somehow return programs different mac addresses depending on which program requested them. but they again u can just modify CO to set the macs each client would request, but that'd be illegal again, i think. :(

so i dunno

lol he prolly doesn't use all 8 of his computers to play CO or he'd owned us long ago lol

Then explain why my 3 miners using cotobo on one computer got jailed, but not my main + stigger (in tg) on other computer, asshole.
And yes, both computers have the same IP.

Read trough the whole thread before posting, jerk.
