The reason why item dupes won't happen:

Every item has a unique ID. It doesn't matter what you do to the item, its ID stays the same. No 2 items can occupy the same ID.

So, the main question is, how do you modify an item to have a different ID. You certainly don't do it by disconnecting or whatnot, thats just stupid. Don't even bother attempting any dupe methods unless you can find a method of altering an item id, then it *may* become a possibility.
Which will never happen of course, because the ID is obviously stored on the CO server system, and you'd be insane to try and hack that... if you get caught you'd probably be jailed... and CO definetly isn't worth spendin' time over. [/b][/quote]
We all know conquer's gms dont do shit... what makes you think their legal side is any better?

07/26/2006 17:49 Spike21#20
And if we change item ID somewhere in send packets ?
07/26/2006 19:51 pro4never#21
grrr why does no one listen to everyone? ITS NOT POSSIBLE WITH THE CURRENT ACCESS TO CONQUER SERVERS. Item id's are on the conquer server.. if you can hack that then just give yourself full super +9 -7 2 sock etc etc etc

There must be a way the Conquer server generates a UID (Unique ID) when creating the item. Find the algorithm in how it's made randomly and a UIDgen can be made.
(I'm just saying how you would do it, not that it's easy)

if someone hacked into the server side, the game would be retarded, there would be absolutely no point in playin, it would be the most boring shit ever and everyone would quit, so yea u'd be able to hack all this stuff, u'd be the only one playin tho, might as well just play Qonquer or sumthin if u wanna do stuff like that, cuz that's all it would become. It wouldn't even be a game anymore
