Amazon cracking down on RMT?

I've gotten over 1m gold off of G2G over 2 weeks no ban

3 people in my guild got ban in last wave, they told us in discord after not loging in game for last couple of days, 2 people 15 day ban and 1 perma ban. They rmt and that was it. I asked a couple of whales i know and they also say 15 days bans for some of their whale friends and some perma bans. 1/3 day bans are for exploiting.

I feel like that's more of a hopeful sentiment though. Not dealing with RMT buyers harsher leads to more RMT sellers which leads to more bots and more issues that legitimate players will bring up, so it's either AGS kills off the RMT players (big chunk of the player base) or the legit players. and if I were a betting man, I would say AGS would rather piss off the RMT player base and save PR nightmare than piss off the legit player base

Doubt they ban for Gold buying, unless you buy from very odd websites or the cheapest seller on G2G. If you buy from propper people, I doubt they ban.

Ghosti, some guy on our Server (which was in Asmongolds Video) bought over 2 or 3 Mio Gold and not got banned (the guy that is 1490)

I doubt anyone really use gold Exchange Ingame.

Amazon works with ban waves and automated systems to ban buyers and sellers, Amazon hate lose "fights" and they will ban buyers when possible to show efficiency, if you want keep your account safe by now avoid gold sellers, you can reach 1370 and some weeks ahead will see your account perma banned (some sources talked about they are changing some policies for the next week).
The major problem for Amazon today is the lack of authority on the server, they today only can act with administrative actions (day bans for example), they cant remove gold of the server because they still dont have employeers with dev tools on the table to manipulate the game and server data, if they put the hand on dev tools of the game to counter attack our beloved bots will be a hard war for us (average players buying gold), big botters with unlimited sources to farm can keep their business, but players will fall every ban wave.

PS: The 3 days ban buying gold has been a test of their automatized system and they reached almost 92% of accuracy with the system according reddit, 8% of mistakes is a worrisome number, their system looks promising and efficient.

But then People bought of shady sites. As I said, many people including me , never got touched. I guess, if you spent enough in their shop, they just don't ban you, as most games handle it.

As I said, the biggest whale, with millions of Gold, never got touched. So People either made something very stupid or dunno.

And People only used Mail, maybe they banned People used Auction HOuse?

Did you buy more gold last week or did you only RMT at the start of the game? It seems people that RMT the last couple of weeks(around release of argus raid) getting banned. I havent seen any reports of people getting banned from buying from g2g yet.

Someone can recommend a seller who actually care about safety ?

I don't want to buy from random sellers on g2g

i wonder too, but i personally dont think random or reputable seller doesnt matter.

AGS would probably ban RMT by tracing large sums of gold being sent from one to many accs, or would chain ban bots and whoever the bots interacted with over mail or auctionhouse trades.

There is always a Risk getting Banned but i mean we talk about Amazon guys, they fked up New World so badly why would they do better on Lost Ark?

because they have pressure from Smilegate, and this game is catching on more attention than NW. Smilegate already has a set way of dealing with RMT buyers, so it makes sense that AGS just follows suit and keep consistent with the other regions

Smilegate does not even ban people in KR and RU for RMT. It's absolutely rare to catch a ban as Saintone said.

Smilegate gives them a negative balance of 500k-1mil which is basically a ban. You would have to grind raids and all other gold sources on 5-10 classes weekly for up to a year to get positive balance. Keep in mind you cant upgrade you gear anymore till you reach positive balance. This is how they ban people on KR for rmt. Smiltegate is serious of hackers and rmt in KR. When did saintone say its rare to catch a ban?

I have yet to see a person that got banned from randomly buying gold tbh. It is always a risk for sure but yeah I do believe that the robust sellers send gold around their chars to make it very hard to track and therefore difficult to know who bought.
