Android by far, its just more flexible and less strict, only design is better on iOS

Im a Apple user for years and years now and tbh I would change to android any day. But if you're used to an iPhone its hard to change.
I would recommend an Android for sure. I only like the design of the Apple products way more than any Android Smartphone and apple is really not changing anything. Every year its the same phone just with +1 camera or other dumb stuff nobody cares about.

Personal preference is Apple (iOS). The Ecosystem is quite flawless wich makes working across all of my devices (iPad, MacBook Pro & iPhone) at the same time much easier. Besides i really like the UI more of iOS / MacOC / iPadOS
