16 clients max?

it might be limited to 16 per ip...if you run 2 computers..meaning u have a router...the router has a seperate ip..so..u have 2 ip addresses..meaning 32 clients :)

NOT really.... ROuter has 2 local IP, yes! Very True.

One more thing, My comp has 2 NIC. Is there a way to configure it so one run on normal IP and the other one through a proxy?

Anyone figure out a way to do this yet?
Perhap we can use the an old conquer.exe when 2.0 first released?
I tried doing that... also edited the version.dat to the current version. But once I try to login, the client say invalid version blah blah blah... So, Im thinking there is also a version # in conquer.exe, but when I look for it under hex, didnt find it. It might be one of those ***@@*^!^#^%@ ( or ............

ok let me get this straight your bitchin about ONLY being able to run 16 !!??? give me a break who cares your lucky you can run more then 2 yet ya make a thread whining about not being able to run 35 FFS. :rolleyes:

Well guys I was able to only run 16 for like ever i dunno, but to answer your question to the 2 comp 32 client thing i just got my 2nd comp in my room hooked to a ROUTER with my other computer hooked to same one and i need to dl the client and hex for it so Ill get back to you

Wow, 32 clients, what are you, mining? that's overkill.

if it's an actual roundabout number like 16, that's sounds about right

how many cyber cafes do you know that run more than 16 conquer clients?

or how many NORMAL households have more than 8 computers ALL running conquer (that means none of you guys, none of you are normal to run 32, HAHAHA)

16 sounds like a nice even number to cap single IP connections at.

Now if this is all true, then to bypass, you'll just have to start proxying the connections.

Although I hear of people running 4-8 clients, that's nice, not too many people run over 2, but if I EVER get lag because of too many people are connected the first people I blame are people like you. =p

How many normal households own more then 3 computers?

So what's the status? Were you able to log in more than 16 using a 2nd computer? I would be running 16 if my laptop was here. Too bad it's stuck in australia with the ex right now...

Um we have a business in my house and we have 12 computers in total???? O btw to answer your question like i said i was going to im running 12 conquers on my other computer in my room on my router thats connected to this one also and im running 16 conquers on this one so its not IP


Only 12 on my other comp because it blows and i only got it to play games on and lan...

Hmm, so then what do they limit it with? Computer ID? It happens once it connects to the server, so the server is checking something locally.

lol 35 Clients... it sounds he´s running a private inet cafe and prolly have some homeless guys in the basement for farming items :)

I hope this topic doesn't die with no update. Does anyone have any idea what is limiting it to 16 clients per pc?

well it definately has something to do with the computer not the ip addresses so its definately hackable and hexable :) I dont know anything about this stuff just saying that its not limited per ip

Hmmm.... There seem to be some bad programming from TQ's end.
After the 16th client is open, cant seem to open any other program(.exe).
Not being able to open any .exe after the 16th client is just too anooying; Im sticking with 15 clients right now.
