My original reply was before I knew the full details of the patch, I wasn't given enough information.
All I can tell you now, is that BigDove will NOT work, and MeteorDove locator based on packets or memory will not work. Infact, there is no way te differ a real MeteorDove from a fake unless you hit it, or it hits you.
That leaves us in the position of Archer->Scatter. Best we could do is create a warning system that will signal us when we hit a metdove. It'll be done by logging incoming attack packets and logging the HP dealt to every entitiy we scatter, the low damages will indicate a meteordove.
Sorry to inform you though, the days of easy metzone are over, there is absolutely no way to figure out which are different without attaking to start with.
