I don't get my Firewall (Norton) to forward only the Ports used by WoW2.exe and I can't find a Port forwarder which is able to only forward the .exe files internet connection. If i would use a Port forwarder by typing in the Ports to forward, wouldn't it forward the Ports for the first started client (WoW.exe) too?

can we use this somehow by makin this like that one bot, a while ago where you would type ^heal or something and the char would heal you? that would be sweet

Where can I get a program that Port Forwards only certain .exe applications?

Pretty much the same thing that DJFraggy has said above me

Please help!

Well, maybe it works when using a second PC?

So there you can forward the Ports without touching your first connection.

Could someone try this out? I don't have a second computer which is able to run WoW (hardware problem + linux on the second pc)

//edit: Oh and btw. when you run the wow2.exe and try to login it sais it couldn't verify the client version and cancels the login process.
But when there is a wow.exe in the same folder, running the wow2.exe and logging in works.

I use my router to port forward, but i also use ZoneLabs: ZoneAlarm Security Suite, there is a free version of this program downloadable from: [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]. To those who don't know about port forwarding please visit [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]
to those who say fake, please attempt and list the steps you took inorder to get a better response.

[sorry for delay been on vacation]

Can you explain what ports you forwarded where on your router?
01/03/2006 21:04 DJFraggy#25
lol I don't get this... If you forward the Ports over your Router, you cannot forward only the Ports for WoW2.exe. Didn't try that ZoneAlarm thingy yet, but I can't believe this really works.

Well, I'll give it a try.

i'm gonna try this once i get home, i recently got a second account, and installed a second copy of WoW on my computer. I tried logging on the 2 different accounts earlier without using port forewarding, and it gives me the game version crap. Hopefully thsi will change this, im just gonna try once i get home from school.

The point here is to log in using the same account so that you have actively two characters logged in from the same account.
If that doesn't work this whole thread is meaningless since it's possible to log in with two differents accounts on the same machine using the same install of WoW without anyproblems what so ever..
