im sure someone else has writtten this but autorunning towards gates makes you no faster. the reason you see yourself ahead of others is because of lag. you can test this with two computers both doing it and they will each see themselfs ahead of the others.
mount enchants will ofc do the job, though its little difference and takes valuable enchant slots imo.
