solution: make an archer, plvl said archer to 50, get bow prof to 5, and go scatter some miners.... :bandit:

anyways, with this death = -1pk point thing...i'll try it out, if i can remember the login for my blackname archer...

There's gotta be something, and enemy on my enemy list had 95 pk points and ran to market. After 20 mins he was out with no pk points pking people in my guild agian. Some how somethings going on.

Hypothesis.

The 0x03f1 ping packets. I'm guessing that there's no actual timer running server side for lowering PK points as it would be a waste of a thread. It's possible that it counts the number of 0x3f1 stay alive/ping packets and uses that as a basis of time measurement for lowering PK points. Seeing as those packets are generated client side, sending more of them than the client normally sends may speed up things that count them.

Of course I could be totally wrong but hey, i'm unemployed leave me alone.
The system, as far as i understand, works like the guildwar jail timer, every 6 server minutes everybody looses a pk pt.

I remeber in old CO there used to be an NPC near the patrol near the blacksmith

He used to lower your pk points by 10 for every black name you kill. (even used to be possible to get - PK points.. meaning you could PK more.. and not flash as long [flashed as long as a mere shot to someone instead of a full on kill])

Maybe people are somehow accessing him, using a black named char to PK another black named char to lose points?

Because black names don't go to jail unless they are flashing.. so this could easily be done with water + black named noob
