or simply get the server working to a point where it does not need events to survive, I personally don't believe in events since all it does it just get the current players more OP giving the outsiders excuses not to join in the first place.

I don't think dedicated servers are THAT expensive, I had a 64GB and it was so ultimately cheap and the price difference between 64GB and 16GB was not even that much. Rams aren't such a big issue if you ask me as long as it's more than 16GB but you will need SSD Dedicated Server. The problem nowadays is with the server protection, Protection prices are simply unreal but you still need it even if you have like a 100 players.

That only works if you have less direct contact with players but considering the fact that people can still rage at you on elitepvpers and spread rumors because they can't quite understand that 'rules are rules' (happened to me before) you need a decent game system that doesn't allow people to break the rules in the first place :)

It's hard to do that in a community like that because some people just go on with it and not give a flying fuck about infractions, warnings or whatsoever since they're just players with standard accounts so if they got banned they will just create another like hey idc.
