Not physically possible.

+s are stored server side and are not told to the client (NOTE: I know tq added a bunch of new VIP stuff.. It's possible in some cases they do inform but I'm talking about itemtype and general conquer knowledge here)

Itemtypes work only if the server tells the client it's an elite/super item by making the client display each quality different from eachother. If the server doesn't say the quality of the item (TQ made it so that it only shows for weapons on the ground) then the client has no way to possibly display it.

As far as I know, you are able to view them now with the newer clients.

So TQ is dumb enough to send VIP info to people who don't have VIP status?.....
