How do you apply the npcskills to the server? I never done it before and I dont see it under gamedefs

the contents of the NpcSkills.sdata file is, at server side, loaded into the PS_GameDefs.Skills table.

Monster/NpcSkill.sdata contains ordered skills w/o index/identifier (the sole order define the identifier).
Each skill is defined with 9 levels (4 for episo 3, 15 for episo 6), only the first row is defined (contains meaninful values), the 8 (resp. 3, 14) next are filled with 00s.

On DB, the same skill is defined with a SkillID equals to the skill order (1 for first and so on) and a SkillLevel set to 100.

(all other fields match beween the .sdata file and the DB table, except Icon & description present in .sdata only and 'UpdateDate' present in DB only).

(and this is likely already explained 100 times in this forum).

I've already done the update in my database still nothing I do not know or just the concern of the invisible stuff in games have someone an idea??

what, in your opinion, could be relevant in the database - read by the server services only - to help the client to draw the gears ??

If you agree that the sole possible answer is: nothing, you will look for an issue at client side.
the gear shall use a valid model value.
that model figure shall exist in the Character/class/*.MLT file (in the right file for the edited class & type of gear)
the row in the .MLT file shall provide the right names of a .DDS and a .3DC files
these files shall exist in the Character/class/3DC and Character/class/DDS folders.

so only 4 points (alwyas the same) to comply with and to verify.

I have a doubt, the NpcSkill.sdata you posted, does it include the new skills for the 'robot mobs' ?
(I ask because we use a customized NpcSkill.sdata so we would have to add just the new skills for those robots)

You are right to highlight the fact that tailored files are very common, and thus your working files shall quite never be replaced by a nexon file.

Also, the newly listed skills can use some "new combinations of old effects" or truly new effects.
What I designate by "effect" is the "TypeDetail" field of the skill, this field defines a lot of parameters of the skill, nexon had added some new types (and will follow). The new skills that use new effect(s) (TypeDetail(s) unknown of our server) can of course not be used as they are.

2nd source of uncertainty, the mobs skills are in turn referenced in the Mobs definition as the Attack Type fields (column "Type" in monster editor of shStudio), this field is only present in dbo.mobs table (not in monster.sdata) so we have no evidence that skills defined in NpcSkill.sdata are used are used by some of the mobs and when they are, we don't know with which parameters.

last point, the file was updated by nexon since I posted it, here is the version 228 (3 new skills (and 4 rfu)).

I do not really understand what you meant castor4878 I have followed the dds and 3dc in the client and do the MLX to see visible 'item.SData the model well okay so I think I do not see too it will be possible to give me a tutorial ect, I thank you for your answer already
