greets
I followed the instructions and installed the loopback adapter to the correct ip and subnet nask, but the adapter is not receiving any packets despite trying to send them out.

I see that the loopback adapter has an ethernet icon in Windows. Do I need to be wired in for this to work? I'm currently using wireless.

EDIT: Wired doesn't work. Bridging the Adapter with my working connection works, but asks me to register my OA and OGame accounts with the OA website for the 5 day trial, which I didn't do. Seems kind of counterproductive to provide the info of the account were using to play OGame with to the guy whose program we're abusing.

Then again, the instructions don't say anything about this. I presume we are NOT supposed to make an account with OA, correct? The loopback adapter is specifically designed to avoid this?

If you are getting through to the OA website it means the loopback adapter isn't working.

Did you restart your computer after installing the adapter?

Hi,

you see that the adapter is working properly, if you type the address "http://188.165.227.218/route_check.php" into your browser and as output "ok" appears.

Did you mean this window?

[Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]

if so, click on yes and enter a 12-digit number. when the loopback-adapter works correctly, OA will send this to your local server an returns that the license are valid.

the loopback adapter passes all data to the local server, which is sent to the original server. So an ip redirection.

// Edit:
Thanks doomber.
a pc reboot is important so that the settings are taken

Deleted and reinstalled the Loopback Adapter.

[Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] results in a "Not Found" / "Broken Link" Error

I was referring to that window, but entering the 12-digit code and hitting "ok" does not reset the timer to 5 days.

3. possibly is another server running on port 80?
4. Access blocked by a Firewall?

1. All are Green
2. Server is unreachable
3. Checked. Skype was occupying Port 80. I killed its process but still no luck.
4. I specifically set Port 80 to open and I still cannot validate OA.

UPDATE: Hmmm. Looks like I'm up and running now. It seems freeing up Port 80 and restarting cleared it up. I'm now unlocked for 5 days.

Thanks again for the assistance.

Theoretically, yes :D but I have not tested this feature.

if the data is routed through the OA server, it does not work. but if they go directly to the google server, then yes. :awesome:

yes, they are actually sent to the server. I've seen the packets with wireshark.

OA -> SMS-Gateway -> Google Calender -> Your Phone

I could try to recreate the sms gateway, if desired?

Im not sure if someone mentioned it before, but it could be that skype uses port 80 sometimes.
If you want to change that: Tools->Options->Connection
Deactivate the checkbox Use port 80 and 443 as alternatives.

Hope it helps some guys.

hey, I have good news for you :) SMS-Gateway works fine! :D finished another one or two changes and then it is.

I just created one script that instead of sending the original server, the data to the local server, and then forwards them to Google :)

The batch file should are started when you start OA?

Very nice! great!

yes .... when i start OA

batch, script or command... easiest!
