This 100% cant work. And even if it did, the game would lag like hell, because the game would have to read compressed files, what eats 5x more CPU.

I'm posting on here because I feel like being a dick and doing a topic bump.

To make this sound better than what I just said was this can be done, you had better learn some programming languages. I'm not being real friendly toward the Dekaron PServer community. All there is on here, is a bunch of lazy jerks. i.e. Dekaron Serenity. That shit shouldn't be happening. Its what happens when a bunch of 2 year olds get some sugar, and go ape shit on mommie.

but answer me 1 question.. are you even able to make a zip folder from the whole data folder? meep.. i guess not... file archive is too big..

ok... 65.535.. sounds hexy to me, my folder contains about 59.000 files, and i'm not able to create a zip archive.
i'm pretty sure what i'm taking about.. if you open some dekaron.exe with olly debugger, you'll see instructions where the exe gets the files. the exe gets them through the data.hd.

now open that file with an hex editor. wird signs at the beginning (header infos), then 2 bytes of filesize, 2bytes of namelenght, the name, and another 2bytes telling the offset from that file in the data.pak.
IF you just zip the folder and call it data.pak, you'll have 100% different offsets (wit max compression or without compression.. doesn't matter!!)
now..
if the exe gets the file offsets from the data.hd how da hell should the exe be able to find the right files at those offsets mentioned by the data.hd??

that'S why i'm saying that it isn't possible!
i'm really sorry that i ruined your dreams!
if you perfer, next time i won't say anything and laugh about you trying to make the impossible possible.

i've got a data packer, and believe me... it's waaay different than zipping a file :/

i really don't get ya why you guys get mad at me! i'm just saying that that won't work.
it would be like... open a textfile, write your name in it, save it as text.bmp, open it with paint, and you'll see your name written in a bitmap.
se? that's kinda "not working"... the same as this one.
just trying to clear that up :/
but do like you want... go ahead, try it, and waste a couple of hours on it for nothing..

What data packer do you use? I need one ive got some stuff i would like to test.

Why pack it? Why not just write a program that checks for deltas? I know silkbotter knows what a delta is. It'd be fairly simple, thats what Acclaim used for one of its anti-hack features. But you'd have to have multiple checks.

Personally, I'd run something a bit higher. I was a programmer for a company called General Dynamics, basically they made equipment for the military. I programmed Applications for field work, and other things. Not bragging, explaining a bit of my background. The level of encryption I worked with, would make Nebular shit his/her pants. Standard encryption for any military data, 256bit, the encryption goes up. I'd write a rotating algorithm that'd run with with a Delta checker. Not going to explain my anti-hack features, but I doubt even Nebular could crack it.

P.S. I've got a good portion of my emulator files working. :)

All rocket science to me, I wasnt a military programer you see. I repeat the question anyone got a data packer or anything I can use to repack the 2moons data files that will work, they still have the world cup dance and damn i wanna see there faces when i put it back in.
