we're supporting similar resource for russian servers, probably it would inspire you to more cool features. :)

Unfortunately it is completely on russian, we had more expansion in plans but still lacking free time to implement everything we want.

i personal know the page and by visiting i think about to make a menu like u.
sort from some item types like mats, gems ... looks cool.

i dont take a look on the item idīs and if there ranges for types :o
did u insert the items by hand or are there item id ranges for item types ?
like 800-1500 or so for mats only and 1500-3500 for gems.

but since im a hobby coder and this is a fun project, i will see how much time i have :)

if u like, i link ur page on the start posting of this ?
so ppl from russian server can go to u :)

quick panel is assembled manually as there's no straight bounds for types

no problem with link if you like. :)

This looks really good great job!

You might be interested in adding these jQuery item tooltips someone made on the PWI forums. They grab content from pwdb and are super easy to use (but you might want to change the ajax to use lazy loading though if you have lots of links).

That would be better than just a link to PWdatabase indeed. Then once you manage to get the description from the client memory working (i.e. with the actual addons, refines, sockets), you can replace the tooltip with that :)

@altivex: it updates randomly, wen i personal play the game and let the bot run.
i only can work on the project at weekends, so missing for now is auto updating the mysql server .
(i did some tests on this, not sure for the moment what i use later.
like upload sql file to server and use php update script or send all items directly by php query to server for database insert)

for other servers i need to find a way the bot logs automatical into different servers.
so i dont need more computer for this, one computer and a auto login script should be better.

im not really familiar with this and its a fun project only, so it will take time.
since i learn while doing this, im sure it will become bigger....but it will take time.

another idea of mine was, to make the catshop reader bot public.
so ppl can use it on different server too, the collected data will display on the website.
also the update times will raise a lot.

the goal for using it for other ppl will be, they know exactly wen a update is made and they have the server they are playing on ;)
(but thats another bunch of work...user login, another database forming, checking for db spammer...)

@jasty: thanks , looks nice and i keep this for the item infos interest07 descripes :)

@interest07: this is a nice idea, but need alot times, too.
since im unshure, i mean i remember i had to move the mouse over the items to get description.
if so, bot reading become more slow and i have to find out how this works, at all.
if i ever get this...next work is knocking on the door :D
i have to recode the search function, so users can search for item infos too.
like interval gear or +10 refined etc.

sounds like a really big project for me poor keyboard cowboy :)
i take the journey, but it will take time...so no promises from me wen is something finish.

like id software sayes to duke nukem: its done wen its done

anyway thanks for all the infos in this board here, without...i had nothing done for pwi

The code snippet I recently PM'd you for getting item names from chat messages is almost identical to what you need to automatically update the item hover descriptions in catshops, except the update function is at [[[itemBase]+0]+0x34]
;)

lol, I recall when I found that function I thought it randomly didn't work.
Turns out it was because when I read the string I took too big a buffer and accidentally accessed restricted memory, causing a read fail -> empty string.

That's when I thoguht the function was a bad one and stopped using it :(
