Ah shit,I just gotta answer this.
Using LOTF as a base,okay,we're doing that. BUT, as haydz and you said, " you understand your source better" . I've been working with LOTF source for around 4 months before it got released,I would say thats about 7 months. Enough time to understand the fully code. Now,when I've looked it over and over,im starting to recode.
We recoded a bunch of shit,this is what we got so far:
Emme - Cryptographer.cs, General.cs, some packets , monster movement, client doesnt shut down if it is like 200 monsters around you, bunch of commands/npc so they work more smoothly and take lesser space.
Kenneth - Ah,we just love him. Took the time to recode entire Database.cs , now we use INI files,which tanels third source also does, and he rewrote a bunch of packets , means, he took care of the login freeze.
I wouldnt say for 1 buxx that this is nearly the same source as it were when we first got it. We spended time and effort into making this a good server and source,and make the gameplay wonderfull!
Honestly,in my opinion,if I had to choose within 4 servers, Qonquer,Original Conquer, This server and AcidCO , I would choose this,because I think we improved the gameplay,so you really enjoy it now.
Thats only MY opinion!
Mh,anyways,we will love to see more players into the server,and hopefully you guys like it too,as we do.
