I really appreciate your efforts. It's kinda sad to see the, as you said, the community dying. However I think this development is something you can neither influence nor at the very least stop. It's just meant to die and that is a fact one will have to admit.

Eventually I'll have to admit it's just plain dead, but for now. I have to try!

They changed alot in packet-related things since this was published for the very first time. People will have to learn alot more about how the game actually does work, by reversing the packet analyzing process of the client itself but also about how the server handles the requests and how it passes you the data to setup the TCP connection to the other players.
Combining the knowledge of both the UDP and the TCP packet structure and processing it is also possible to get all the other things working.

The server had a lot of functions for checkin' out the packets. All of the original lobby functions are still working even with this out-dated source code. Except the chat function. I believe.

Not to be rude, but you can just as easily Google that link. After all that's where all of my information came from!

I imagine this is really easy to do if you understood how the packets worked so that you could engage it.

Remember that in order to connect to the MYSQL server you need to have the ODBC connections set up first. I forgot to mention that in my tutorial. My apologies.
