This is Fantastic .... and if u didn't reach the level of the TQ Modulers ... I'm sure u'll reach it to make a such whole game as conquer in 2 - 4 months ... u can do it dude ... just keep the hard work

Opale is a nice moddler , but he is controlled by limited plug-ins and that make us mad :@

I'll never reach their level mate =) It's their job after all..
We (editors) might be limited with plugins and everything, but keep in mind that they're limited aswell.

They have to adapt their graphics to our average computer species and to Conquer3 Graphic Engine: Low-poly models, low quality textures, faking animations with planes and stuff.
But we gotta admit their map designer is truely insane !

Alright so I am -once more- disgusted to announce that I lost everything (again) due to a needed emergency computer format.
This includes the weapons above and all of my other mods aswell as every single stuff I had on my computer...
At the moment tryna redownload softwares and shit.

I thought about quit editing (publically for Conquer) already sooo.. it might make my decision more evident I guess. This section is plain dead anyway...

We'll see how things will go !

O_o... How is it you manage to lose your stuff more than once?... I mean once is I suppose understandable but after that shouldn't you be worrying a bit more about backups?.

If you cant afford/don't wanna use an external drive you may as well just use something like dropbox so it auto backs up all of your work. Even just 500mb-1gig should be plenty to just store some models/textures that you're working on.

That was the plan to be honest, but I guess my PC wanted to troll me :rolleyes:

For the story, I recently bought a 16go USB key on Amazon in order to start backing up everything, in case of .. I litteraly tried everything I could try to avoid that or to be able to save up anything, with no success. I couldn't do anything, PC would just turn on, and then turn off 10 secs later, I couldnt even access the BIOS or run in safe mode or anything...

I had to format on thursday, USB key arrived on Friday =/ but even if they arrived in time I wouldnt have been able to save anything so ..

Thanks for the Dropbox hint tho, I didnt know there were free services like that !

It would have been possible if you have two PC. Just add the HDD in the other as a second drive and you'll have access to everything... But it's things that happens... I already lost everything like 2 times... Now, I have an external HDD, two USB keys and it's on my MobileMe iDisk :) But yes, Dropbox is a good idea.
