i use my own again:-)

i don't know if this is a bug or what it is realy. i have my server up and running witrh workaround skills that is, lvl 70, all the armor lvl 70 and so on. but the new maps there is no drop at all in my game, but in the db it has item's sticked to every mob (i think i have checked them all now) but in the game there is no drop.

i checked and some was above the 999 grade so i canged the drop to like 100 75% and 99 50% but still no drop. what am i doing wrong? plase help!!

nd yes i know there is items in the db in the grade 100 and 999!!!

could it be that other mobs have above the 1000 grade too that make none drop? (getting gold tho)

if anyone have a good db that's working that would be great too. just want normal items dropping. everything else i can fix when there is dropping stuff at all LOL

I'm afraid there is some confusion there.

The items dropped by mobs are defined by grade values.
A smart way to think about a grade value is to consider it as a drop-bag.

You define grade associated to items by editing these items individually (like [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] - the "Drop Group" field is the "Grade" db-column) or moving them from a bag to another with the [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...].

Now that the items you want to drop are organized in known drop-bags, you edit the mobs.

You setup the list of drop-bags of all mobs (whatever their levels or the map using them) by editing the monster.sdata (and you shall generate a monsterEx.sdata to edit these drops w/o losing your change). Alll required steps is explained [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...].

Note that the value 99 and 999 are (quite always) used to define not-dropable items - meaning that in OS configuration no mobs use a drop-bag with value 99 or 999.

Despite that reserved use, all grade values can be used for direct drop by a mob.

In a previous post, you dealt with Fortune Bag, all "mystery (and similar) items" are goods (their Type can be 25, 38, 44 or 100) with "Effect" (see [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]) set to 42 and "variant" set to the index of a section in the PSM_Client\Bin\Data\ItemCreate.ini server file, if you define "variant" to says "7", the 'mystery item' will be turned into one of the item whose grade is listed under the "[ItemCreate_7]" section, and these grades must be in 1..1024 - meaning that here (and here only) Grade values are in a fixed range.

ty so much. this did explain alot:-) but i have a db from Bane i think! where the maps for regnum and the other 70 maps all the drop from monsters all are above 1000 so those maps don't drop anything. just becouse they have to high grade, i have all the drops kind of but all have too high grade. i was hoping there was a way to lowering the grade and yes i know the:

select * from ps_gamedefs.dbo.items
where grade= '507'
Execute

and

UPDATE ps_gamedefs.dbo.items
SET Grade= '0'
WHERE ItemID= '0'
OR ItemID= '0'
OR ItemID= '0'
OR ItemID= '0'
OR ItemID= '0'
OR ItemID= '0'

but i'm left with tons of monsters that have a bunch of above 1000 grade and i was hoping when i changed them all to a lower grade, using the above that i could use a query or something to change all the numbers i just changed to the dbo.mobitems list. where alot of the monsters have the same grade (but too high)

let's say i now changed the 1456 grade to 254 and i now in the dbo.mobitems list. have 50 mobs that have the 1456 grade still and i then needed to change all of them to the new 254 grade. like now i have to look up and down the dbo.mobitems list. to find all the 1456 gaded mobs and change it to 254. and going up and down and doing this manualy takes forever. i was hoping there was a quary that could do liek change all 1456 gades to 254 grade or something like that. hade saved me alot of hours serching for every mob in the dbo.mobitems list. manualy he he
