Does it work for you?
I can't get it too work.

If I use full-screen mode i get a bluescreen
If I use windowed mode, the VM is stopping the VGA driver...

Could somebody who got it to work, post his .VMX file, that i can
compare if I made something wrong?

I used VM 5.5.2, installed XP Pro 32bit, VM Additions, DirectX 9c
and i changed the VMX files as told in the instructions :((((((((((

At the moment, I'm installing Windows XP on it. I'll let you guys know if it passes or fails. ;)

So far, it has been a failure. I can get to the 2moons updater, passed the GG updater, and into fullscreen mode. But, within about 3 seconds, the screen turns gray and closes.

I reach the part where the login screen starts, then it's messing up, the Acclaim Logo and GR logo is fine

I couldn't get the OpenGL 3d shit to work either. Maybe that has something to do with it.

use the newest version of vmware.

As I recall, someone else said that 2moons didn't work for them with VMWare.

This is apparently because VMWare can't support 3d pixel shaders or some shit. I couldn't get it to work either.

sorry, but that sounds more like a guess. if it worked for you, tell
me ur version, but please don't post something like "check ur driver",
"defrag your harddrive"...

well i've been told to use the newest version. If you want to know the newest version is VMware Workstation 6.0.2

if you read my first post, at the very top i claim i'm just posting it here and it was created by another user. This software is known to work with gameguard to allow you to another version of a game, but settings are tricky, thats why ive not had time to actually do it. but i've heard it works if you use VMware Workstation 6.0.2.

the only problem is this guide is for version VMware Workstation 5.5.2. i am ive been looking for a better version of this guide.

*side note* only reason ive not attempted this is because i just reformatted my computer. i was planning it for a few weeks, i did not see the logic of setting it up and then reformatting. but now that i reformatted, you can be assured i will try this first hand and will post what changes must be made so that it works properly for everyone.

but if anyone finds the key setting to get it to load without going blank then please do so, it will save me some time.
