The advantages of open source must be new to you.
Oh really? So why are there no emu's yet? Why did the only open source emu not get anywhere? Why did the other files not get their databases recovered? I guess it's because the community worked so well together right?Quote:

You're just here to grab your chance to make us look bad, every server aims to make money. Can't handle it? Then I'm sorry nobody will be able to help you.Quote:
way better servers would appear online and less p2w that's what they are scared off, no money.
Nah. I am looking forward to this server but it's funny that works been going for months now and we still don't know single thing about it... Would'nt be suprised if some1 will do it faster and more proffesional than You. Would'nt it be better to just Close this thread and re-open when You will be ready 100%?Quote:

Back in 2008 when Zelos/eSRO went open source jMerlin merged his emu with it and they joined forces, what did come out of it? Nothing. In the end they seperated because one said they did all the work and the others did nothing so they took the emu and wanted to release a server by themself. That was in 2008, what makes you think the greedy community now will join forces to make something work? Stop dreaming man and wake up, this is not a paradise in which everyone sings and smiles together.

Reported my own post so this topic can go back to what it is supposed to be.
The files/source won't be released, atleast not by us. Period.
there are already better servers, iSro files alone cant make a good server.Quote:

Because it's much work and the somewhat stable original files are out? Furthermore there is no client source and rebuilding the client from scratch is extremely inconvenient. The never ending jabbering about the community makes it even worse. When will you (guys) get it. Just stop talking about it and focus not on drama but on gaining knowledge, development and fun.Quote:

If you contribute to an open source project you should know that this can happen (and it isn't even a bad thing). There are different licenses which kinda help you to avoid these things tho. I don't get what your point is? That people take "your" files? You are clearly not interested in a good Silkroad experience. Sooner or later the stuff will be open to everyone. It's just a question of time.Quote:

zelos had an open beta version out very well playable. Everyone should stop talking about it, it's not happening now and people need to accept it.Quote:

why even discussing when we know releasing won't happen, spare the time answering questions related to it..Quote:

My point is, people won't work together because they are afraid others will just take their work for advantages and those licenses were applied to zelos aswell, it still happened. You should know by now this community can't work together. I refer to Zelos but if we look at the downfall of servers like Overlimit, Ludoworks and even further back BloodySRO and even Zyain you can see the more people involved, the quicker the project goes nowhere which is why the current Zyain team is very much different from the first Zyain team. And yes, none of should even have these files let alone the source but we got it and choose to keep it thats it.
You don't have to lie about that. Almost every question asked there is not answered and I don't see any information give by you guys.Quote:
