Ok, This is for all of you WHOM DIDENT READ THE FIRST POST.
The Skin Files Go into your.
**********\data\main
AKA
C:\Program Files\Conquer 2.0\data\main
Now to get onto the Reason im posting....
If there are some semi-skilled photoshopers out there who would like to continue my work on,
Project SuperViewSkin
I will now be posting a continued version of my main TUT,
This is from working with the Dark - Gold Skin previously made.
Now useing your dds converter convert the skin files to a .psd format.
Now open in photoshop " dialogdepot.psd " this is tester we will use to see what our skin will look like.
Now Click the Channels tab.
[Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]
Now double click the alpha channel to view its options
Normally CO only has 2 alpha channels.
#1 White. (aka visable)
#2 Black. (aka Non visable)
We will now be adding a 3rd Channel to this.
#3 Gray. (aka Semi visable)
[Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]
Any shade of gray you come up with is fine.
Now that you have the 3rd Channel all you have to do is mask off the area's you want to be Semi-Transparent
And add them to the alpha channel.
This is the hard part.
Each file must be masked 1 at a time. And it is quite time consuming.
Anyhow Enjoy!!
Hopfully someone finnishes it, Seeing as that someone WILL NOT BE ME.
But its an amazing tut dude [img]text2schild.php?smilienummer=1&text=Nice!' border='0' alt='Nice!' />Quote:
once you have what you want.. go to
window/action
Create a new action and redo the actions you took to make the skin the way you want it. when you've finnished remember to click stop.
Close dialogquery.psd and do not save.
Now highlight about 200 of the skin.psd files and drag and drop them into photoshop.
Now go to
file/automate/batch.
In the newly poped up window make sure.
"SET" is set to default actions.atn.
"ACTION" is set to the action you just recorded.
"SOURCE" is set to opened files.
"DESTINATION" is set to save & close.
Your going to have to be more specific...Quote:
