This one - what do you think? I'm about to open my server soon and I don't like the idea of random, jelly shits DDoSing it.

IPv6 is the newest version of the internet protocol, it's basically the technique used worldwide to make internet connection possible. The newest variant provides no protection against ddos attacks at all, get that out of your head. To implent it without the source files would be really hard, atleast natively. There are only a couple internet providers worldwide who use it, so enabling ipv6 would make silkroad inaccesible for 98% of the world, and it would provide no protection whatsoever. Yes, rackspace is a nice provider, but I doubt you could afford it, there are providers that are cheaper and provide better ddos mitigation

Well than you're right^^. Only Solution is to wait until it stops.

I wouldn't ask for opinions if I wasn't certain that I want to use it. I don't want my server to be easily DDoS'd and well, if this one will make it heavily protected, so be it.

And I doubt anybody here ever tried rackspace, let alone have any experience in mitigating ddos attack. All the stuff I read on these forums regarding DDoS attack make me facepalm continuously

Isn't it weird that Player's from "EpicSRO" are now playing "Atlantis SRO" and keep spamming in the EpicSRO Thread :

This DDOS attack generates 500.000 packets and you need very expensive equipment to handle it. It basically shutdowns whole host.

Well it would make Sense. Low Server got no Community so why not DDoS the Server with the Same Cap and with a Higher Population ?
