What makes you think that some single person who is programming a private server can do what Bigpoint has taken almost 3 years to perfect?

I've seen what Bigpoint do first hand and its all based around the client. With you guys and your lack of client hacking ability, you aren't really in a position to brag right now.

We had a client encryption, but it messed up the whole swf :D
While we're coding the emulator we're also looking forward, that the emulator notices the bot automatically and freezes him.

Thanks for the support. They are not considering the fact that BP had needed years until it could stop packet bots. By the way, change your avatar :) and cya on Facebook this weekend :)

I'm looking forward to it too :p

I'd like to have this thread closed by a mod, since no post gives me any constructive feedback.

So they don't need to proof that the player is a botter.
They just can ban everybody that bots (for example moving like in a formation with your group: BAN)

so easy, think about that

Haha, you think about that... it's nowhere near easy, it's actually hard even to spot IF the users are in formation, just imagine how much code is needed. And after that there's the risk that you ban innocent people staying in formation. You ban innocent people for protecting someone. It's not just "if he is in formation, ban him" or "if they are botters, ban them". Just think about it, BP has needed years to develop a technology that could stop botters, but it doesn't involve any anti-bot script: it's only encryption. Which means they could NOT find a way to stop bots with code against the bot-system's logic, they needed to get deeper.

And that's what developers around this section lack: ingenuity, and the ability of thinking outside the box. That's why the most advanced bot for the official DO will remain a pixel-bot, if PBDO doesn't come back: because people don't want to try something new and only use what they know. That's against evolution, and BP got that. That's why they are waaaaay ahead of you.

Before you say something stupid, just think that it might make you look the same way...
