Archeage Mod Pack

Anyone else getting consistent packet loss error when running scripts? I've tried running them a lot and can't manage to get it to work.

i got it too

edit:
Make sure the scripts are enabled during 0% of yoru loading screen and rerolled when you're in-game. If you roll the scripts earlier it causes the packet loss after a while.

It was unfortunately the only way I could reproduce it, if the item was not already in the AH it would simply list a 0 value or a max value, or if I lagged my client and/or connection. I've checked the bidup part in it, it has not changed for since 1.2 and is still the same, this is the first broughtup of the issue and those are the only methods I can do myself to reproduce it. If you can tell me - are you just placing the item? Is there more of that item in the AH? Are you using a different game mode or anything extra running? I just cannot fix a problem if I cannot see an error in the lua ( which has not changed ), so more input is needed for me to look into it.

Responding to all the pm's, still need more people with a car ( not needing ships or haulers or skateboards ), please. There is no risk in ban from testing this, rest assured.

I think I may have figured it out. The game is loading too quick. It always loads into the game, where you can jump around and everything, before the scipts roll all the way. I don't have this problem with my Ollo character but I do with my Kyrios character. I just load into the game too fast. I don't even get the ArcheAge mod is functioning correctly message when it goes into the game like I do on Ollo.

I think you are right with this, there are times my game goes from 0% to in game and im halfway through just 2 scripts I'm putting in, so it doesn't load. Othertimes it seems to hit the packet loss sweet spot, and most of the time it works without issue.

@PLOX is there a problem that i dont use Scripts? i just use options 3 and 4 unless i wanted to use action house :)

Yep. Starting to think I can't use this anymore. With the new way you have to do it, starting the rolling when you get to the loading screen, the game loads in before it's even done "rolling" scripts. So half of the mods don't even load in properly. And that's with switching it to a regular crappy HDD. Gg Trion they finally found a way to mess with the mods.

they dont mess with this mod xD HDD for the win xD

Run window mode, have the mod window up, select your character, have 5 already typed into the mod, hit enter when the loading screen pops up and stay on the mod window, when it finishes if it doesnt go all the way in, go to your options quickly in game, switch to full screen then when the prompt comes up, revert - then run 6.

Switching between Window > Full > revert, does a hud reload ( reloads the lua too ), which would be probally the last resort when getting the scripts around but I don't think they can do much during the load screen since it has to execute all of the world stuff an if they did, it would just be a bad idea from xl cause how much it will hang the game adding checks into the load part ontop of it already loading world information.

I know its tedious, but I myself never have a problem ( the packer runs quite fast for me, not sure why it is slow for other people unless perhaps 8.1? I'm running win7 ultimate ).

You don't need to use the scripts, really, alot of stuff is in the base mod which doesn't dc. Not sure how long they will take to catch onto those parts of it, but some isn't an easy task ( like removing the water an how I changed it ) for them to make detected.

As I said. I have it on a HDD and I didn't say they messed with the mod. The stuff they implemented in the game made it to where the mod has to roll the scripts AT the loading screen instead of before. So now the game can easily load before the scripts are done loading. You either have to have a meh computer, a VERY old HDD (since mine is 6 years old and it's still having the problem) or a high ping to the server. Just sucks because I was enjoying the mod.

I run it in window mode. I also have already been doing everything in the exact order, typed the number in and pressed enter at the right time, you've said. I have tried it on Windows 10 AND Windows 7 Ultimate, the hard drive I have been talking about, and it still has the same problem. Definitely strange.

I love the AH script, allows me to easily post items, alt-click to buy lots of the same item, and I can see who's posting, whom I've contacted directly to see if I could work out a better price (on an alt of course, and it's worked a few times)
