Troy, how do you know that ? from what region is the ip of the attacker

The server was probably attacked from a IP which is masked with several proxies or VPN's. No1 dares nowadays to attack without being protected only 12 yo kids who downloaded a shutdown.bat file and edit a echo to Made by Myself would be stupid to do that.

If it was a multi-servers attack 1 IP won't do nothing, and booting services / hosting services usually do not share information to anyone, unless from FBI or something.

Well i don't understand why some1 want to shutdown this server... we all love this game and waited over 4 years to get a private server working..
I`m very curious to know who did this and why ..

Shut up ! Is the host who couldn't handle the DDoS attack, this has noting to do with the server files, and btw the server works great

You are wrongly mistaken sir.

The game-server doesn't handle in the first place.
It's the host where a person pays the money that does not handle the DDOS Attacks.

- The server that was running the game-server files, was temporary. Since it's closed beta, no point spending tons of cash in a server if the game wouldn't work properly or if has not enough people, but! We had positive results, and an upgrade to the server was on the plans, when the open beta were released it would be running on a new upgraded server, and it will!

Do not worry, Twelve Sky 1 will return. It's a matter of a day or two.

Allow them to provide us the game we all awaited for 5 years.

More news soon.

Just wait till there will be one single server and one large community so you can support it with your donations.
Just stay calm and wait for the news, this was a closed beta which went , in my opinion, successfully and as they said above they wanted to change the host so that they can run all the zones and so you can support them with your donation .

NSG plan to be the only single stable server, but since people are stubborn in wanting their own server, there might be more in the future, IF.
However NextStepGaming team is working to assure no problems will happen as we saw through the closed beta phase, the Denial of Service Attack hit us hard indeed, and we've learned the lesson.

Although I cannot say that NSG is totally safe against hacking, the team took the precautions to protect the game against it. Without relying on known-anticheats. I do doubt any other Twelve Sky 1 server will have such structure like us as the game files leaked from china are not protected against any hacks therefore these servers tend to fail if not protected with same layers as NSG.

As any service it has costs, right now only 1 person is paying for the whole server, I must say it is expensive in a year course. We will not ask for donations, however if people do want to donate we'll be thankful.
All donations will be forwarded to keep the server running!
Those who donate will receive NSG Points which can spend in-game item mall!

We are not a company, therefore you can expect sometimes lack of professionalism / formal speech, and resources... However we strive to keep the game running, give you the best we can do.
