[TIP] Patch Skipping + working 12sky2.exe

PATCH SKIPPING

A perminant way to skip patches(still reversable) is to go to the 12sky2 directory (e.g. C://Mayn Games/TwelveSky2)
1. Open "PRESENTVERSION.DAT" in notepad
2. Open "Launcher.exe" just to see if it will patch but close it before it gets a chance to start the patch
3. Edit "PRESENTVERSION.DAT" and change the number up by one (e.g. 00045 to 00046) and then SAVE this file
4. Redo steps 2 and 3 untill the launcher says [COMPLETE] without doing a patch (beware as some patches are short and fast, so dont be slow!)

DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK, at times it may affect gameplay negatively!
if error occurs, simpley edit "PRESENTVERSION.DAT" and lower the number to its original value, and save then open "Launcher.exe" to continue patching

TEMPORARY (quick) PATCH SKIP
On this forum a file was released for 12sky2 to launch the cleint without the launcher i cannot currently find the post, i will not upload the file as i do not have permission of the owner (coz i dnt know who it is lol) if sum1 cud tell me what it is, ill post a link to that topic!
*edit* i now have permission to post launch.exe it is at the end of this post ^^

PROBLEMS WITH TwelveSky2.exe

If the following has occured:
After you have clicked "START GAME" on the launcher, "TwelveSky2.exe" starts up, shows a BLACK SCREEN, then IMMEDIATELY EXITS.

then this may solve your problem, its an older version of the "TwelveSky2.exe" and for me it works now

I STRONGLY RECCOMEND THAT YOU MAKE A BACKUP COPY OF YOUR CURRENT "TwelveSky2.exe" IN A ZIP FILE OR RAR (anywhere you can remember) JUST INCASE THIS METHOD FAILS

yes, but some people believe they are helping the community as I did once. Though, I've learned now (since mayn removed autopills in patch 88) that I'm only hurting the community. (irony? i just released 3 public projects. fk it. i don't even play ts2. who cares. hahah.)

XD lol striker!! im prolli leaving soon too, its getting boring! i cba to level!! so i thot id share what i know, and what if u skip patch? wud autopills work u think? coz ive skipped patch 88 and im runnin smoothley but not tried autopill adress! i will try 2moro. p.s. mayn have been as useless at patching sum stuff like hiding 12sky2.exe in process list, ppl always find ways around it

yehh, but 1 its tricky skipping the updates where, theres an ingame feature missing, coz it will dc when u spawn. and last time, the adress updates were spread over 2 patch downloads, so when i logged in only installing 1 patch, some adresses worked and others ddnt caused me to dc! so i had to work frm that patch on XD
