German Mangos Tut

check erstmal ob bei dir das mangosbd.exe und das realmd.exe fenster dauerhaft anbleibt und keine fehler angezeigt werden !
dann checke deine realmlist.wtf in deinem wow ordner und vergewissere dich dass da

set realmlist 127.0.0.1

steht !
wenn da weiterhin nur informationsaustausch steht hast du irgendwo nen fehler gemacht und solltest den tut nochmal lesen ^^
aber son prob hatte ich wie gesagt auchmal und das hat sich nach einmal abbrechen drücken und passwort neueingeben erledigt.. kA wieso aber so geht das bei mir ^^
wennd as noch immer net klappt kopier mal den inhalt der server.log und der realmd.log einfach hier rein dann finden wir den fehler schon

fehler gefunden in der ream.conf war noch nen falscher eintrag drinne für den mysql erver.

Habe nochmal ne frage, könntest du das toturial auch nochmal für linkus mchen da es dort etwas anders ist und ich gerne den privatserver online stellen würde

	
The following is a tutorial for installing and configuring ManGOS on a Linux Box


(Before proceeding, please make sure you have read this, and this thoroughly.)


Required Software:
QUOTE

  * A Windows (in order to extract all needed files from the game) and a Linux-based Operating System.
  * A copy of World of Warcraft, updated to 1.12.1 (US) or 1.12.2 (EU)
  * An archive containing ManGOS binaries -> Linux
  * ad.exe, mpqe.exe -> (WIN)
  * A MySQL client (SQLyog (community edition) (windows) or another one. It does not matter what client you're using)



Install ManGOS into the working dir:

  * Create a directory (!!!THIS ONE!!!) /opt/mangos (or as specified in a possible text file in the archive if different)
  * Uncompress the folders BIN, ETC, LIB, MANGOS into /opt/mangos (or as specified...)



Install MySQL

  * Install the package depending on what distro you have from this url: Official Download Page, or if you have a package manager, like SuSE or Ubuntu or similar, select it from the manager and install it.
  * In order to easily access to MySQL (like to change passwords or do minor changes / updates, but not for huge queries) I suggest you phpMyAdmin. It must be configured in order to point to your local machine (or maybe install it on the machine itself!). It's a PHP-Web program, and it's easy to configure. More info and howto: Official phpMyAdmin homepage

Note: by default MYSQL access is granted for user: root and password: <<blank>>, I think only for localhost


Install and fill the databases

SQLyog (but similar for almost all clients)

  * Connect to your MySQL server
  * Right click on it and select 'Create Database...'
  * Create two databases: mangosd and realmd
  * Install your favourite DB (i.e. SDB -> HERE is the explanation on how to correctly install it). It should take a lot of time
  * Install other possible sql files (like ScriptDev2 -> scripts.sql)



Extracting MAP, DBC and MPQ files from your copy of World of Warcraft

On Windows:

  * Put ad.exe into the game's home directory.
  * Launch ad.exe and let it finish.
  * Extract all the files of the mpqe archive into the subdirectory [World of Warcraft]/Data

  * Execute this command: mpqe /p dbc.MPQ DBFilesClient\*.dbc

On Linux:

  * Create the directory /opt/mangos/maps

  * Create the directory /opt/mangos/data
  * Copy the content of the folder [Windows:World of Warcraft]/maps into the folder /opt/mangos/maps
  * Copy the content of the folder [Windows:World of Warcraft]/Data/MPWOUT into the folder /opt/mangos/dbc
  * Copy dbc.MPQ, patch.MPQ, patch-2.MPQ (in [Windows:World of Warcraft]/Data) into the folder /opt/mangos/data

das verstehe ich nicht was der da von mir will

was meinen die damit?

anscheinend ist das die englische version... vielleicht heissen manche wow ordner/dateien anders als inna deutschen version....

könnte mir vorstellen dass du die dbc dateien brauchst die du auch aus dem selbstinstall nehmen kannst ^^

den kram musste ich machen immo. lad ich grad den letrzten schritt (1,87gb)

Also erstma, das tut is echt top, läuft auf dem localhost echt astrein.

nur würdich gern mitnen paar kumpels übers inet spielen, hab mir mal ne dynmic ip bei no-ip geholt, aber leider geht das nich so einfach, hab die ip zwar in beiden .conf dateien geändert aber man muss wohl noch mehr änden...oder? wär nett wenn einer schreiben könnte...thx schonma

Hi, das Tut ist echt klasse und bei mir klappt eigentlich alles bis auf das realmd.exe fenster. das bleibt leider nach der änderung nicht mehr offen.
Fehlermeldung aus dem Log :

OK, alles erledigt -.- Copy and past ftw bei den einlog Daten ist ein Rechtschreibfehler dachte das wäre so richtig und wunder mich seit 2 tagen das das nicht geht jetzt dachte ich mir was solls versuchst es ma bei beidem mit administrator und es ging

ja, ohne das "" hab ich es auch schon versucht, dadurch bleibt zwar das Fenster offen, aber dafür bekomm ich direkt nach dem Anmelden eine Fehlermeldung.
Seit gerade eben sieht jetzt auch der Inhalt des mangosd fensters anders aus. Vorher hatte ich da ein rotes "menu", jetzt rattern da maßig codes runter.......welche variante war denn nun richtig ??^^

<hr>Append on Jan 30 2007, 00:20<hr> irgendwie funktionier der Server jetzt, aber was kann ich gegen die ganzen codes im mangosd fester tun, die da runter ratter ?? so schnell wie die da ratter kann man nicht mal n befehl eingeben.........kann man das irgendwie stoppen oder die befehle anders eingeben ?? Bei den codes, die da runterratter, handelt es sich und die flugruten der zeps und schiffe oder so ähnlich.

Nein, ich meinte eigentlich Acc-Erstellung etc......Aber irgendwann bin ich dann doch auf die Idee gekommen einfach zu pasten^^ Das die GM-Befehle InGame eingegeben werden, war mir klar, aber trotzdem danke für den Tipp
