Ever wanted to compete in a League of Legends online tournament? Now is the time to do so! As Riot Games have announced on the landing page of their popular MOBA game, they will be hosting the first community tournament with free sign-ups for everyone!
Starting on the 25th April, community teams will compete in online qualifiers for a spot in the finals! Matches are to be held every weekend, thus allowing the competing teams to acquire points that will decide on their qualification for the finals. As stated in the tournament rules, Riot is likely to give out wildcard invitiations as well. Players are rewarded with a 4-Win-IP-boost and a mysterious skin that has yet to be announced. The first tourney will be limited to residents living in France, Germany, Italy, Spain, UK and Ireland but Riot is looking to expand the tournaments range based on its success.
Registrations will be open for everyone from 13th April through 23rd April. Every registration requires a team of 9 players: This includes 5 players and 4 substitutes.
