Silly idea for legit + botter private server

Start out with everyone having Gold + Silver + Bronze honor buffs of the Academy thing.

Have active GMs that bot-check every player every couple hours. You teleport to player, if they are killing monsters but don't reply before killing 5 mobs then consider them botting and remove 1 honor buff.

After the player gets "busted" 3 times then all his honor buffs are gone and he can continue playing, no need to bot-check them again. (Could also employ other methods of bot detection, I don't know whats possible...)

If it's relatively low xp-rate server then these who reach the cap with their honor buffs intact surely have hand grinded a lot or are master babysitters. They have slight advantage over botters via the buffs (I don't even remember what the honor buffs gives anymore) for all the "hard work" and of course the honor of Ned Stark.

I think it's a cool way for botters and legits to co-exist on the same server because populations are low anyway.

Not the most silly idea i've seen around but lets say you have 1k people on your server (or even more) GMs cant check all of them , nor anyone will go through 1k players every 3hours
I like the honor part though , seems like a nice thing to earn. What about botting after max lvl?

You won't have 1k players on a legit server. Idiots like to bot.

Same applies to server with 500 players . If your server got less, then you won't stay alive for a month .^^

If you're not doing it for money, you can stay alive as long as you want. Just like simply0wn.

Noone makes a server to spend couple hundreds of $ each month to stay alive

SROMANIA is now online for 16 months and it's still in beta, and they opened donation methods in june this year. So it was more than year without even single donate.

This is true, but the "every 3 hours" part is purely arbitrary. If it takes over a week to reach cap then checking doesn't have to be as frequent, you can have multiple GMs, plus once player loses all honor buffs there's no need to check them again.

Maybe some codewizard can program captcha that will be asked automatically or what ever, the point is, it would be cool if legits and bots could play together, they would probably turn against each other and fight for Fortress and some ****.

if the amount of the players is the only problem , create a bot that PMs players if no respond from them do the remove thing but this might be weird as it can pm a player in the town *-*
*could check player X-Y and check if that is a safe zone regon or what ever

It's great that it pms people in town. They could also be using alchemy bots.

i guess there is many things to do with it
