When I was using iphone i had to boot the phone from redsn0w each time the phone shut down. Or even safari was not working, that's not my laziness - I had to take a computer with me because if i got run out of battery the phone was quite useless until i boot it from redsn0w.
Anyway thanks, we should not discuss operating systems here

Then let's discuss about iphones. What kind of iPhone you owned? A wooden one?

Actually it looked like this:

I Installed a 5.0.1 ios (if i remember right) and the jailbreak released for that version was tethered. I was not able to downgrade, so I used that **** tethered jb which needed to boot from redsn0w each time.
I use Android 4.0.3 now, its not rooted - I did not see any necessary, but I can say it's far better than iOS. Moreover, why should I use a phone which requires to be jailbroken - instead of a phone which doesnt need jailbreak?

iPhone 3g or 3gs is not comparable with current android, because android didn't even exist when those phones came out.
