Have you updated the game or just replaced a Media.pk2?
try to use this SRO_Client.exe (attachment).
ohh, and what error do you get? something like "#N/A"?

If u don't trust anyone than make your own multiclient ... : open your first client login ...than open it again in this way : right click on client > Run as > Ok and than start the game
