CISPA, another law to prevent internet privacy

You may think that everything is all dandy and fine now that SOPA has been ended, but I urge you, please, you need to contact your state representatives and tell them you are against the new bill that the House is voting on, on Firday. This bill is CISPA (Cyber Intelligence Sharing and Protection Act), and it gives government wide net access any information you have EVER had on the internet!

They need no warrant to go and gain your information either. Nope, all they ahve to do is ask a company like Google or Facebook and the comapny has to give them all your information.

This means all your search history in Google is viewable by the government because you may or may not know, but Google has actually stored all the searches you have ever made.

The bill says it's supossed to be used to prevent cyber hackers. Key word "supossed" to, meaning that the bill doesn't declare that that's what it will be used for. The bill is so vague that if it were passed in the shape that it is written in now, it would give the government the power to do anything they wanted conerning the internet. They would basically be able to wiretap anyone for no reason, right through the internet.

So how can you help to stop this horrible bill that breaches so many given rights that we have (such as freedom of speech)? You can start by telling everyone you know. You need to do this before Friday! Tell them to call their represtayives and say they are against this! The Obama Administration has already declared they are against this bill, but to make Obama veto a bill we need to make sure he knows that the people are also against it!

This is something that cannot simply be ignored. It will affect you if it passes, and affect you drastically! So I urge you to do something about it! I have already done as much as I can by signing multiple petitions and spreading the word about in on social outlets. Now it's your turn.
