Update: You need to CLEAR (meaning wait for the normal dungeon clearing process) the dungeon, the quest item DOES NOT drop from the dungeon boss, you must finish the dungeon for the quest item to be awarded to you.
For those lazy people you can just quit at the awards screen once the EXP ang GP reward numbers start to move. (Only CHANCE to obtain)
