Feeling on mortal kombat x

I've never really been a fan of mortal kombat but i seen a friend playing it and it looked really fun. I'd like some opinions from others about the game before i decide to buy. What do you guys think?

I remember playing Excalibur, it was so fun, it has kind of the same gamplay as Mortal Kombat, good days tho
