Apple iPhone: Crucial bug kills the phone

The Apple iPhone is at present the most popular and top-selling smartphone in the market. However, technology from whichever brand can yet be broken and so you can do with the Apple iPhone. The clinical bug that comes from the operating system iOS itself only affects 64 bit processor phones; this means that the latest iPhone 6s and the 2014 model iPhone 6 are victims of this particular bug.

Sometimes, it may be necessary to change time and date settings within iOS, and if you for whatever reason want to set your phone’s date to the first January 1970 (1 January 1970), your phone will simply be gone. The iPhone will be stuck in a boot loop and can only be brought to life again by disconnecting the battery for some seconds and insert it again. In conclusion, your iPhone has to be sent in to Apple.

Why the 1 January 1970? Well, this has to do with the so called Unix time, which is being used by a huge lot of operating systems and devices. It is the number of seconds passed since Thursday, 1 January 1970. The Unix time (or timestamp) when this article was written is 1455367430.

Did you know about this problem, and have you ever tried out? Tell us!

Yes but you better do it not for yourself because maybe something can go wrong and this phone is wrecked or you have to pay a lot to repair it.

I don't want to try it, haha! But why would someone reset their date and time to first January 1970?

You only have this problem, if you're traveling back in the past. Otherwise this case does not matter.
