War Z has been pulled from Steam
Hammerpoint Interactive’s game, War Z was pulled from Steam earlier today.
There have been hundreds of reports which were made by customers who had complained that the developer ‘mislead’ them saying it had features which were yet to be implemented. Many users have been very displeased with the game, as they implanted a 4-hour respawn time and started charging people to respawn their characters.
"I can assure you that based on what we're seeing a number of people who posted bad comments are a small percentage,” said the lead producer, Sergei Titov, who had strangely seemed very unsympathetic to the problems the customers had.
Valve has issued a statement about the game and is offering refunds to anyone which have purchased the game.
Quote:
Valve: From time to time a mistake can be made and one was made by prematurely issuing a copy of War Z for sale via Steam. We apologize for this and have temporary removed the sale offering of the title until we have time to work with the developer and have confidence in a new build. Those who purchased the game and wish to continue playing it via Steam may do so. Those who purchased the title via Steam and are unhappy with what they received may seek a refund by creating a ticket at our support site here: https://support.steampowered.com/newticket.php
Again, we apologize any inconvenience.

Well first they released the game as a pre-release for players, posted screenshots of in game footage to sink people in. Then when players actually played the game, it looked nothing like the in game screenshots and most of the content that was "in the game" wasn't actually in the game. Then they turned around and said they didn't call them screenshots, they were artist renderings. Even though people posted links where they called them screenshots, and the "artist renderings" included things such as a HUD. Who puts a HUD in an artists rendering? Very misleading, that ****** off a HUGE amount of players.
Now it was released on steam for about a week before it was pulled, mostly for the same reasons. Content which was promised to be working in the game wasn't actually there. Don't even get me started on a 4 hour respawn time or charging players to respawn in a game they already paid for.
The entire WarZ franchise is a joke. The game is misleading and the only things it's doing is making sure nobody actually buys WarZ when it's actually released. The movie is nothing short of the worst zombie movie ever made. Brad Pitt in a zombie movie? All the zombies are CGI and look like ****? It's really too bad Max Brooks sold out so bad.

How did you come to the "World War Z" movie from the "War Z" game?
Respawn is set to 1 hour, but actually the way it was intended at the beginning of the game was 24 hours respawn.
About the screenshots, well, yes, it seems like they made the mistake of not being clear, and was pulled from Steam due to the game being still in a Beta phase and not as a full released game, so that it will actually be added in the future.
