The maintenance has been scheduled for a length of 8 hours, starting at 8am and getting to an end at 4pm (Pacific Time). Said downtime won't stop users from playing online multiplayer games at all, yet, the PlayStation Store and PlayStation Home won't be accessible.
This scheduled maintenance is done by Sony in order to improve the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita's network infrastructure.Quote:
