its practically in the title haha. and also my navicat doesnt seem to be working...when i open a connection the top file is information_schema which is not right...help?

information_schema is a part of mysql ... are you sure you put the database files in the mysql data file? as for shearing the db you could forward port 3306 and then add a user in navicat for your friend to use to access your database
go to Navicat click on the connection , Manage users , add user ,
user name : ur db user name
Host : the IP of the person u wanna share the db with ( better use hamachi )
passwrod : ur db passwrod
and ok
