[Guide] How to translate your database for noobies.

I will start by showing you how to translate your cq_action. You can figure out the others by yourself.

First of all you will need the following tools.

1. Your database.

2.

3.

4.

As for google translate you will need to change it. Translate from Chinese into English.

Lets begin.


First off you need to open up your database. Open the following.

my > cq_action


Once into your cq_action you need to copy the text from the box you choose. As show in the picture below.

Next step

Open NJStar Chinese WP (Clear or open a new page)

Now just paste the text that you copied from the cq_action as shown below

Copy the now simplified Chinese from NJStar and paste it into here it will change it from simplified Chinese into English as shown below.

Now for the next step you will need the by hio77

Reason being is because you can't just simply input the text you just received on google translate. Well let us advance, Open the NPC Text Tool and paste the text into the "input" box. You will see the same text below with ~'s in it. You will need to copy this as shown below.

Now we go to inputing it into the cq_action. As shown below

Numbers not letters. lol

Note : If you know what the meaning of the translated Chinese means then by all means change it to what you want.

Save and then close it out.

Yes but that guide is showing people how to edit the Chinese in the Msg and Npc server, Not database. The reason why I released this is because people can't or don't try to figure these things out on their own.

As we are all aware people do not like to "Search" for these things. As I see the last two comments have nothing to do with Translating the Database. Except the second one.

And also don't forget to set your encoding in mysql at install or in your gui connection settings to one of those Chinese encodes. (I use 10008 aka GBK 2312)

as u said "people can't or don't try to figure these things out on their own." so why take the time to make a guide when no one is gunna search for it and exspect it on a silver plate handed it to them just let them get no were and no one will be bothered
