The guys who developed the game or in general the guys who develop games need something to drink, something to eat, something where they can live and so on. All this costs money (you will learn this as soon as you move out of your parents house). To get some money for these things they have to work (yeah I know it will take some more years for you to do that). So their boss has to pay them. The boss earns his money by SELLING the stuff his workers and he made. That means if people don't buy these things, the boss doesn't get enough money to pay his workers so the workers stop working for him and so games like this or games in general will not be developed.
So what would you do if nobody will develop games anymore because there is nobody willing to pay for their hard work?
