When an account is online if you delete he won't logoff and it won't even delete because you can't make successful changes to character db when the user is online(It will show that you changed but when you run query in sql manager again it will show the old values). And if u set the job properly and started it he wouldn't be able to log in game anyway.
check if you followed zombe's walkthrough steps properly. Check if the job is running. Often times people have sql server agents turned off. You need to turn on sql server agents from sql server manager if you want to run jobs.
Also since the character is already online even if you start the job it won't delete him till he logs off. To log him off get his username and password from account database and login from your client. It will disconnect him.
