[Request] Effects for characters

I was wondering if anyone here knows how to switch up / add new effects in game.

I have seen it on many other various servers. They modify an item or something to give a cool little aura around that player.

MY CHANGE OR EX: I would like to modify the current look and effect that each member of the siege castle holder gets. The leader gets a more vivid effect and then the rest gets something else.

I have never really stepped into the effects area but I know everything and all of the basic.

Data>Property>Effect> "Effectdata.txt" & "Effectscene.txt"
Data>Script>Effect> "ModelEffect.csv"

I know kinda how it all works, but I want more of an explanation and/or a small tutorial on how to modify current effects and add them.

All in all, I just want to know how it all works. It's a very cool part of learning the games insides and outsides, and it's something I have never really practiced with.
