[WTB] Looking for a Designer / Modelmaker

Hey and good evening,

i am actually working on a browser game with a good friend. We are looking for a person who is able to design characters / heroes for us full freely (means: freedrawn, not for no money) so we wont run into any copyright problems.

The Image of the heroe should be head including a part of torso, maybe holding a specific weapon, but that is not decided fully yet.

We would need, for now, like 10 of those pictures.

I’d like to see a sample of your work regarding this theme if you own some.

If we like the pictures, we might order a bunch of them including weapons, armor, rings, magics, helmets and so on. Generals up to 20 for the beginning and if it should run well more following.

Heya mate , I'm sorry but aren't u kinda asking too much ? U want someone to design you 10 characters and u want to see if the guy is good drawning them first and that all free ? I'm sorry but in wich world do u live ?

i dont mean drawing all tenth of them, lol ^^ it does not even have to be a character to be used directly for that purpose, but anything to see if it would meet the style we are looking for. if you know what i mean.

paying for a work i cant use after all would not make that much sense after all...

And thats the most popular thought of every customer.
Work is work and has to get paid, even if you do not use anyhing of it.

i think you quite dont get what i mean. i want to see previous works of you (meaning the designer) which could go into the theme im searching for. that aint work for the designer (well 5-10 minutes searching for an older work + writing in bold "sample" about it)

Thats why portfolios exists...
Already had lot of times , I spent hours working for someone , sent him previews during work they say they like bla bla bla , at the end when I send a full preview and they saw a watermark of Anti-Rob before they pay , they suddendly quit the business. Thats just not fair for GFX'ers.

I totally agree, it's so frustrating when you meet someone that looks to be polite and ready for business. You spend hours and hours designing and it really looks great and when the payment process is about to happen they block you. Happened a few times to me.
