Windows 7 sucks too they should have just gave win xp the ability to allocate more ram and left everything else alone.
Win 7 has way to many "USER FRIENDLY" bloat ware in it.

Lol if you think WIN 7 sucks you don't have the right PC mmh ?
Faster loading/shut down too, better support, more helping tools, better settings for improving the maximum power of the OS, etc etc

+1 for win7 /64bit/. If you don't like those fancy things or UAC you can disable it. It is the fastest windows now I think.

Nice config. If you still have any issue with win7-64bit than your installed os is the wrong version. I have a good s775 config without SSD and it is run nicely.
BTW win7 have some improvement against xp, like multiple loading process @ startup and more. If you type in google "win7 vs xp" you can learn a lot of things.
or you can use dos or linux :P

those tests are under normal loading conditions , I can tweek XP to boot a full 10 secs faster then windows 7. and just so you know XP tends to handle multi core processors better then win 7 as there is more coding in win 7 that slows down the process.
I don't need to learn I know all the pro's and cons of them I am MS certified in both operating systems. The only thing win 7 is good for is the allocation of more Ram put all that stuff into xp with out all the extra garbage and xp would be 10 times more faster then win 7.
the thumbnail previews are garbage in win 7 who really needs it.
There are a ton of features in win 7 that are just **** and there to just hog your resources or to look pretty for the dumb people that cant learn how their OS operates.
