assertion failed could be anything,it's hard to say what the causes so u might try this. let the updates of the game run 100%. then reduce your resolution to somewhat 1024/768 with refresh rate 60hz. if your graphic cards has midmap,disable it.u may try to redownload the 9disciple.
The assertion happens due to 9Disciple not being able to register the hotkeys. More than likely you have another program open that is globally binded to those keys. 9Disciple uses keys F10, F11, PageUp, and PageDown
