At the end of last year, Showtime announced that our popular serial killer "Dexter" from the series of the same name would be returning to television. In the meantime, there have been little hints and teasers on the social media channels of Showtime and Dexter. Now, however, there is the first video footage: In it you can see our serial killer himself! In the finale of the eighth season, we could see that Dexter has retreated to a lonely place as a lumberjack. In the teaser you can see that this house is still his home. However, Dexter seems to have found his way back to life: The full beard is off, no lumberjack clothes and attentive fans could still recognize one thing: On the table is his next victim, wrapped in cling film, as befits Dexter.
The ninth season will kick off this fall. Except for Showtime directly, it remains unknown on which streaming channels the series will run. It should be noted that series creator Clyde Phillips himself will be back as showrunner. He was responsible for seasons 1-4, which were best received by fans. It is also already known that filming will take place in New York. A return to sunny Miami is probably out of the question.
