I probably do not have to ask how you feel about (World of) Warcraft right now, since you already came to this Server. In our personal view, Blizzard have always left great options open for use but never made advantage of it. World of Warcraft had so many great ideas in Alpha and/or Beta, that were never used.
We have done our best to bring back that great old feeling of real War(craft) and not having a war with polygons, pixels and flying robot smurfs from the future and anorexia drug addicted elves. We will use simple techniques to bring original gameplay and content, like:
* Outdoor Raiding (stimulated better than dungeon raiding);
* Outdoor PvP (limited Battleground use);
* Custom items with real itemlevels and real stats calculated the same way Blizzard does. We will never create items that are overpowered or better than anything you could get easier or otherwise;
* Items that have a high itemlevel will not be available till a raid-instance or outdoor-raid with drops of that itemlevel are openend;
* We will bring back low level dungeons as raid instances;
* Total War will have Guild Wars;
* Total War will have Custom Areas, custom encampments and custom quests;
* Total War will have Custom Events, you could compare them to the AQ event as in size and impact;
* And Total War will also have a Custom Battleground.
And one of our most important things, but still in development, is our PvP system. We strive for the original PvP system (without dishonorable kills ofcourse) and are working hard on it.
The feeling of Warcraft has never been as great as on this server, and I hope you will share the same thoughts when the server opens.
